In July 1989 we bought our first Clumber Spaniel, Blandale Adagio, better known to his friends as Harvey or ‘H ‘. Walter had first seen and fallen in love with Clumbers over 20 years prior to this when out beating on a shoot on the Wiltshire/Hampshire border.

Jane spotted Clumber Spaniels being walked by Joyce Smith near Knaresborough, made contact with her and when her daughter’s bitch had a litter we were so lucky to be allowed to have Harvey.

At the time we had no intention of showing but as so often happens we were asked to show him a couple of times by his breeder "and that", as they say,  "was that" - we were hooked!

Walter had lots of fun showing Harvey,  gaining 1 CC and 5 Reserve CCs;  not bad for your first show dog.
